
Rafał Baniak
On 17 December 2007, the President of the Council of Ministers appointed Rafał Baniak to the position of Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Economy.
Rafał Baniak was born on 12 February 1976 in Myślenice.
Graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Department of Economy and Public Administration at the Cracow University of Economics.
In the years 2002-2003 adviser to the Vice-President of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of Economics, Labour and Social Policy.
Until 2004 counsellor to the Vice-President of the Council of Ministers for social and economic affairs. Earlier, Director of the Secretariat of the Vice-President of the Council of Ministers in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM).
In the years 2004-2005 held the office of the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Social Policy, and later in the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. Supervised the work of the following departments: Departments of Public Gain, International Cooperation, Coordination of Social Security Systems, Managing the European Social Fund and of Implementing the European Social Fund. Earlier, a member of the European Committee of the Council of Ministers.
In 2006 , Director of the Department of Social Dialogue and Work Relations in the Polish Confederation of Private Employers "Lewiatan". A member of the Tri-partite Commission for Socio-Economic Issues and the Committee for Social Dialogue. In the same year appointed to the position of the adviser and deputy to the General Director of the Confederation of Polish Employers. Held the office of the Secretary of the Tri-partite Commission for Socio-Economic Issues and represented the Confederation in the Dublin Foundation. Cooperated with the National Council of Employment, National Labour Inspectorate, Labour Protection Council and Public Benefit Works Council.
Interested in economic policy, social security, European integration and non-governmental organizations.
