Joanna Strzelec-Łobodzińska

As of 20 October 2008, the Prime Minister has appointed Joanna Strzelec-Łobodzińska Under-secretary of State at the Ministry of Economy.

Joanna Strzelec-Łobodzińska was born on 18 August 1955 is Sosnowiec. She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Silesian University in Katowice and completed a course for Candidates for the Supervisory Boards’ Members in State Treasury Companies.

In the years 1978-1980 she worked as a senior personnel clerk at Będzin Power Plant.

Between 1980 and 1988 she was the Manager of the Standards and Payroll Department at the Southern Katowice Power Region.

In the years 1989-1990 she was the Chief Payroll Systems Economist at the Management Board of the Power Sector and Lignite Commonwealth in Warsaw.

Between 1990 and 1991 she served as the Electrical Energy Trade Preparation Department Manager at Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (Polish Power Grid Company).

In the years 1991-2000 she was the Vice-president of the Board in charge of Economics at Elektrownia Jaworzno III S.A.(Jaworzno III Power Plant).

In the years 2000-2007 she was the Vice-president of the Board in charge of Commerce and Economics at Południowy Koncern Energetyczny S.A. Katowice (the Southern Poland Power Company).

Between 6.12.2006 and 30.06.2008 - President of the Board of Tauron Polska Energia S.A.

She is fluent in Russian.

Hobbies include history and travel.
