New website of WPHiI
On 1 July 2008, the Minister of Economy launched a new website of the Trade and Investment Promotion Sections of Polish Embassies and Consulates (WPHiI). At www.trade.gov.pl entrepreneurs will find information necessary to establish cooperation with foreign partners.
The website is a compendium of knowledge and an extensive source of information for entrepreneurs interested in pursuing their business activities abroad and foreign companies interested in investment in Poland.

The most important element of the website from the point of view of domestic entrepreneurs is the Market Guide tab. Here they will find information on how to conduct business in other countries and establish cooperation with foreign partners.
The new Internet service integrates websites of individual Trade and Investment Promotion Sections of Polish Embassies and Consulates. Among others, the service offers information on countries where Polish representative offices operate. This information refers to i.e.:
- political system in a given country, its economy, geographic location, basic quantitative data, official language, currency and cultural aspects of conducting business activity,
- guidelines on how to open a company, legal regulations governing business activity, investment attractiveness and stimuli, export and import regulations, submitting requests for proposals, available promotion options,
- travel: visa requirements, office and shops opening hours,
- fairs and exhibitions and WPHiI events,
- important addresses and links to websites.
Furthermore, on pages of the website entrepreneurs will find current news involving management of the Ministry of Economy, information about meetings with foreign chambers of commerce and industry, as well as cover stories related to meetings of mixed committees and economic consultations.
