Trade Policy Department
Department of Trade Policy Instruments is responsible for establishing the rules, construction and functioning of trade policy instruments, in connection with state’s economic policy objectives.
The Department’s tasks include in particular:
- elaborating the regulations concerning tariff instruments, including the customs tariff, suspension of duty charge, tariff contingents and tariff ceilings;
- elaborating the regulations concerning the non-tariff instruments, including the ban of trade, contingents, additional customs duties, non-automatic registration of importation and automatic registration;
- dealing with systemic solutions concerning the regulations of trade in goods and services abroad;
- dealing with the tariff and non-tariff regulations of multilateral world trade system;
- dealing with customs regulations matters;
- performing the evaluations of trade policy instruments functioning;
- analysing procedures and economic effects of trade policy instruments of other countries functioning;
- elaborating and presenting national position in case of trade disputes which are the effect of application of trade policy instruments;
- pursuing the cases in Supreme Administrative Court related to trade policy instruments;
- joint action with entrepreneurs and their organisations in preparation of solutions concerning the trade policy instruments;
- running the trainings for Polish entrepreneurs and their organisations on trade policy instruments;
